That would be hard to tell unless the Velasco is a welded stroker. In that case the Cola would be better. Just mag them and make sure neither is cracked. Lotta cracked strokers around.
Hi I have a velasco and a cola crank they are both 4.25 stroke what is the better crank to use thanks

Depend's on what application it will be used for!
I've run welded up crank's and have had no problem with them at 8oo hp! eek!
The only crank out of the two you mentioned that I have heard of is the "Cola". My friends dad runs a Cola crank in his Super Comp Dragster for years and I haven't heard of any failures yet. That is also in the 800-850 h.p. range.
Velasco has been around for a long time in the crank business and seem to have had a great rep. We use both COLA's and Lunati's in our circle track engines and have been happy w/ both. The COLA is less expensive than the Lunati but has been very good. Have them both magged and either should be fine.
