    I'm not sure about their break- in period.
    But if were only gonna get 75 hours out of them then its not gonna include
    10 hours of slow time..
    Atleast not in my boat. 10 hours is like 2 trips.. I dont think i could hold back that long.
    All I have ever done is go out, shift it 5-10 times and then cruise for about 1/2 hour then stab it.

    Yeah, I usually break mine in that way too. But, I'm wondering if that is one reason they are only lasting 75-90 hours.

    Well if I had to make a guess I would say no.More like this is the reason why your breaking gears and shafts....LOL
    My motor puts out 1190 ft. lbs. torque at 4400 RPM

    hulshot tells me its how they set up your drive.some places know the little tricks of clearence and shims as opposed to just throwin them in. Ijust had my drive gone thru to the tune of 2200 bucks added a big prop shaft. so we will see how long it lasts. im not aware of any trick stuff done to mine, so now im worried a little with the extra hp im throwin at it

    racer your killin me. I thought your break in time was from the dock to when you cleared the slow zone??? what am I doing wrong :hammerhea

    oh and just cuzz im alittle excited. I will have dyno results by tomorrow night im told. ran motor a little today, reseting the carbs and adding fuel pressure gauge, then tomorrow the dyno pulls , they didnt like my 15 psi of fuel pressure much i guess,lol.
