Lake Gaston= 1 1/2 hours away
John Kerr Res.= 2 hours
Lake Anna= 2 1/2 hours
All depending on traffic. Traffic is nasty in the Virginia Beach area.
I've never posted over here in the East section but figured you guys may be able to help me out. Are there any lakes or rivers within decent driving distance from Virginia Beach? I was there last month and it looks like I will be out there visiting quite a bit for a while. I know the big blue is close but that's not really my style nor can I afford it.
Thanks, U4R

How far away from Anna?
If you are talking about Claytor Lake, it is about the 100 mile marker off I 81. It is about 200 miles south west of Lake Anna. It looks to be a small lake judging by looking at the map.
Beautiful Lake, lot Bigger Than Mt.island Lake.
Thanks for th info guys. What months does the typical boating season last out there? Do any of these lakes have river or lake houses with dock space available for purchase?
