newbie questions about havasu and parker

where can a person park a tent and launch a boat on labor day weekend. just got a family boat, and want to spend the holliday at havasu

There are quite a few places to camp
along the lake shore. More so on the Ca.
side then Az. Just look along the shoreline
and you will see parkbenches and porta potties.
Launching... Lake Havasu Marina is the easiest.
GO EARLY. If you are not on the water by 9:00
you will not get on. The ramps close due to overcrowed.

also stay away from black meadows landing ramp if the water is low shitty ramp

I noticed some people in Parker using camping spaces (at several locations) that have 115 volt service and using the $79 - 5000 BTU A/c units from K Mart cooling the tent.
Placing more blankets or towels on the tent for insulation, of if you have an eazy up putting it over the tent to knock out the dirrect sun.
It's brutal,,

I would try Havasu Landing Resort.... Easy launching and they have General camping for tenters too. It is on the Cali side....

I would second that as well. Been there many times and I alaways have had a good time. :yuk:
