Watching FoxNews coverage of Hurricane Katrina, and even while Police and Coast Guard are telling everyone to evacuate, there's 4 idiots on 2 PWCs heading out into the storm. The reporter said that he saw at least a half dozen others going out.
The Coast Guard should refuse to save their sorry a$$es and leave them to the mercy of the storm and their own idiocy.

As both boat and PWC owner, I'd like to share what we encountered on the river this AM. Took the PWCs to Topock for breakfast. On our return, in one 10 mile stretch...
-boat with wakeboarder plowing upriver, deadcenter at one of the
narrowest points, with no oncoming traffic. Left no room to get
around
-pontoon boat with skier stretched out behind in the water
and no flag in evidence even though there was heavy traffic at the
time
-larger boat going downriver inexplicably crosses over and starts
travelling on the leftside against traffic
and so it goes....
