It was a very tight fit but I did it
Thats a killer deal on a 3/4 ton BB Avalanche.
Hey Dan,
Ya got any additional pics? Like of the interior, etc? I will be in the market for a vehicle to tow the new boat, and if that is truely a 2500 with the 8.1, it may make more sense than spending another 15k just for a diesel....so any additional pics of the interior, exterior would be appreciated. Aso what model was this...LS or LT?
BTW, how big is the gas tank, and what are you getting for mileage?
What, the brand new 1500 won't serve you okay on the 3 trips a year? :220v: :rollside:

It would probably do the trick, but with a 22 gallon gas tank, and 13 overall mpg, I would need to fill up twice every trip out. And, the one time I did tow the boat the 5.3 was only getting 8.5-9 miles per gallon. Besides, a normal year is 5-7 trips, and with the Powell trip looming, I know that 5.3 is going to die climbing the grade!
You're right, it probably would "do the trick." So, let it. For the 3 to 7 trips a year, it can handle it. You can handle it. For 1000 miles of lower gas mileage towing a boat a year, you will save money in the long run based on the other 15000 miles a year you normally drive the truck. Think about it. Take it easy on the grades and it will get you there. Remember, it's the big picture that counts.
Now, MMDan is not going to like me too much as I'm not pimping his product very well, am I?
Damn, that sho' is a purty truck! :boxed:
