"Shants"

I was at a JC football game Saturday night, and I see some of these guys in "shorts" that are a couple inches above their shoes.
One of the girls says they are called "shants".....like a cross between shorts and pants. :hammerhea

I've seen some guys at the river wearing swim trunks almost that long. Do the girls think these things look cool??

In the northeast they call short pants like that clam-diggers and in the Midwest they were called pedal-pushers. But usually only chicks wear them. They do look gay.

Yea, I hate them too but they remind me of a story...
I was in the grocery store a some time ago. There were a couple of young punk thugs with their pants hanging way down and their underwear showing. There was an elderly black man behind them standing well over 6' tall. He said something in the line of, “Pull you damn pants up, I don't want to see your ass." As they turned around copping an attitude, they saw who said it and how big he was, and they pulled up their pants. The whole store was laughing at them.
