why is it that the mirage(which looks like it belongs on a fishing boat!) perform better than an over hub merc cleaver on my boat?? it is on a 32 pachanga w/ probably 400 hp x 2, w/ bravo drives, anybody have any ideas? any better suggestions? speed is approx 70 mph w/ the mirage, the cleavers about 65 w/ the same pitch, and the boat seemed like it was dragging w/ the cleavers- i almost think choppers would work!!!!

The answer has to do with cup, variable pitch, and a whole bunch of other factors I don't really understand.
Check out this thread over at OSO (http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=109543) as a guy there, Cord, has a pretty good explaination of what you are experiencing.
