Not sure but I think you might whant to use a I-beam rod instead of a H-beam rod.
Aren't I-beam rods stronger on compresion and H-beam rods stronger on tension or stretch! Meaning you would whant a H-beam rod for a high RPM naturaly aspirated set up, but a I-beam rod for a lower RPM boost or nitrios application!

Stay with H-beam rod Call either Clay Smith cams or Herbert Cams They'll come up with something Good for your Application.
We run the Carillo H-beam rods in our blown alcohol 496 with no problems yet. About 1400 horsepower.
