On Aug 10, 2005 Bush signed a bill that redirects over .05 a gallon toward fishing and boating programs. Under new bill all funds will be directed back into the federal aid in sport fishing restoration Acts Aquatic resourses trust fund (artf). .05 a gallon doesn't seem like much but it equals approx 110 million a year going back into the boating community. (Senate bill 1072)
The congressional sportmen foundation and the national marine manufacturers association are the ones that fought to get these funds redirected. Yes i am a skeptic but hopeful. :idea:
