Put the boat on the water today to check how the mods worked out.
To refresh memories, I put a Torker and 750 Holly onto the Hardin 325 HP 455. Also added a Diverter to the Jacuzzi WJ.

Ran it for about 1/2 hour today. Accelerated smoothly, until mid range, then a little stumble before the secondaries kicked in. I haven't timed the engine yet, so I think that'll take care of that. When the secondaries opened it just screamed. Ran 5,200 at WOT.
Diverter worked good. Throws up a heck of a rooster. Although the spray pattern appears "flat" and not a round stream, like I've seen on other jets.
I was alone, so couldn't get any pictures in action. Next time out I'll bring a 1st Mate to act as Photog.
Mounted the diverter control to a vertical bulkhead between the driver's seat and the hull. Nicely tucked out of the way, but still very accessible.

I also got some mahogany boards today. Once routed, sanded, and oiled they'll take the place of the swim step that I had to remove for diverter cable clearance.

    Oh yeah.....
It will also get a good overall cleaning and a polish on the swimstep brackets before the planks go on.
The shine don't matter if it don't run.

Looking good! I would check to make sure your nozzle was all the way up when you have the diverter up or at any position actually. That could be why the roost was a little flat. Thanks for the update!

Randy, do you mean the reverse bucket being all the way up? It does look like its low in the picture if the lever is all the way forward.
    Looking good Allen. Hal

The bucket pulls all the way up when in forward. In the picture it's in "neutral".
If anything, I'll have to adjust the bucket down. It doesn't quite cover the nozzle all the way in reverse. I haven't done any fine tuning to it yet. Just wanted to make sure it would run OK.
