I aquired a 1979 hawaiian boat with a 360 amc motor and a panther pump.It appears the shaft is broken in the pump,while the motor is running the impellor does not spin.I will tear it apart tomorrow and see.Where do i get parts for this thing? Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!
You can get anything you need right here www.pantherjet.com . It sounds like a keyway might have sheared off or something. Panthers are bad about cracking shafts if they are abused and the throttle kept pinned to the floor while wave jumping. They usually crack right around the bearing area I believe but I'm not a Panther expert. There are some guys here who have some good running Panther drivem boats that can probably help you out a little more.

I have a complete panther pump great shape was blueprinted, took in out to put in berkeley, $500.00 Jim 818-890-1867
It was a sheared key,The bushing on the end is wore out is the biggest problem i see!!!!!!!!!!!!
