OK...finally made the choice to purchase 22 Stealth. What's everyone's opinion on the power choice of 350 vs. 377 and why? I'm most likely not going to consider going up to the 496, so let's not go there.

There are a few 377 scorpions still in crate available but it is a discontinued product.
I hear that Mercruiser has or is just about to release a 383 small block / Bravo package that is 320 HP with a full two year warranty. The 377 is a great engine but way pricey.
i have the 377 in mine its not bad ..........if you can swing it go with the 496 i wish i had small blocks just dont have the power needed.
I know the Scorpion is discontinued, but Merc does make the 6.2 which is a 370 (ish)...isn't it? It has 320HP. I saw it in the Sept 2003 issue on a write up of Shockwaves 21 step skier. The 6.2MX/Bravo 1 package. That's the one I was (trying to) referring to.

What about throwing a whipple charger on it? Steve at Ultra made that suggestion which is why I don't think I will consider the 496. That and the wife doesn't like the "look" of the raised engine hatch. Shoot...as long as the engine goes "vroom vroom" and pulls skiers with a load, I'm a happy guy.

yes 22 stealth 65 mph or so alone about 55 with a full boat 22 prop 4 blade all speedes are according to the speedo not gps it pull skiers well

Good deal...have you thought about the supercharger or whipple avenue? Just curious as to your thoughts there.
