You actually got a stock 65 amp? My orriginal one was 37 amps.
Get a 1-wire, personally I think 65 or so amps is plenty, but suit yourself. I'm at most running a stereo (without 14 high-power amps), a set of running lights, the engine, and the gauges. Maybe I'll plug in a spotlight, but it is cordless capable. Nowhere near half of the 65 amps of mine.

With the one wire altenator you just connect it to the batteries positive side or to your battery switch.

I'm still running the original 37 amp Motorola too. Ya gotta be a little careful about how much juice ya use, such as asking yourself, "Do I really need to turn on my running lights?"

    Thanks ALL!!!
for 65.00 at Napa I got the DELCO 65amp and the one wire adapter for 15.00. Less my core for 15.00. so for 65.00 I got a nice alternbator. Easy to hook up and works like a charm.

Sure. So far this has been great for the 1 hour I ran it in Saturday.
    The Alternator is:
    2134011
    $37.69 15.00 Core
The plug that converts it to a one wire is:
    20019030
    $16.69
