I know this is not a boat question but you guys have never let me down on advice for my boat so here goes. 96 Chev 1500 5.7L yesterday it started to chug then had no power then died all with in 5-6 seconds, then it restarted right away. It chugged a little more so I replaced the fuel filter, runs fine now but after it sits for an hour or so it cranks about 3 times loinger than it used to? I assume something with fuel? Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Jesse

Have you checked your fuel pressure yet? You could be starting to see the begining of the end for the pump.
Probably not the pump but it's always a possibility and knowing the pressure might help us.

replace the fuel pump. one thing everyone should remember. replace your fuel filters every other oil change and dont run your tanks low all the time.
