Triple AAA is very picky on what they'll insure. If htey write the policy, do it.
$820 per year, 4 month lay up in Havasu. 300k total coverage, Guaranteed replacement value. Medical and personal items Coverage. $500 Deduct. on Boat and $500 on trailer. For a 26' Eliminator Eagle with a 496HO motor. This quote is from AAA and is $400 cheaper than Progressive..Will the Underwriters kill it? Thanks.

Sounds about right for AAA.

Did you go through a broker for Progressive or did you go direct to the by phone or online? My insurance broker quoted me like a grand or so from Progressive when I bought my boat. I was fiddling around on the internet and checked progressive's site and came up with 730. I called my agent as I wanted to give them the business if it was the same price but she told me to save my money and go direct. The extra money is to pay the brokers. Now for my second renewal my rate is 600 for the year.
It actually still sounds a little high to me for a vee that has a four month layup. I'm payig $678.- for a cat with a 496HO that has the same coverage with no layup.
It's through Progressive also, so go figure.
I pay 619.00 from Allstate on a 2004 Laveycraft 496 HO. I have AAA on everything else and they were the most expensive on the boat. Here is my agents name if you want to get a quote. Darcy Price Nied 949 348-1450 Tell her Craig Cascelli refered you.
Way too high :rollside: Try Progressive on line. What value did you put on your boat??? NSF
state farm on our 28 Magic deck with a 496ho. no lay up, same coverages as mentioned above, $710/year
I paid $1300 a year for the exact same boat/motor and same coverage except no lay-up period. Don't feel bad the Daytona we just got is $6500 a year with 5 month lay-up and a $10,000 deductible.
