Try the Arena Club inside the Staples Center if you can get in, it's pretty good. I know it's restricted to members only for games, but I believe anyone can use it before a show. Call for information and reservations.
"Engine 28", Its an old fire house that has been completely remodeled into a resturaunt, has a nice bar too. Just a few blocks north of staples.
Lawry's prime rib in Beverly Hills on La Cienega is damn good.

Arnie Morton's, The Steakhouse (http://www.mortons.com/website/index.html) ....hands down, the best steaks and chops around !! It's at 7th and Figeuroa in the "7Fig" mall area. They even have a free shuttle to the Staples Center. Call for reservations though, it gets busy before the big concerts. Have fun !
