On the motor in my other boat I had a puke tank and a breather on each valve cover. On the HP500 there is a #8 hose from each valve cover up to the base of the flame arrester, plus a small hose from the fuel pump to the same area(I assume an over flow). My question is. Is it ok to put this blow by (some times oil) back through the carb. and why would the fuel pump go to the carb instead back to the tank, if it is an over flow. I used to pull the plug on the puke tank and drain the oil, in this case it will go through the carb. What do you think

The hose that comes from the fuel pump is in case the diaphram on the pump goes bad it will just dump into the carb instead of in the bilge. Gas in the bilge is not a good thing.
