Today I just installed an undercounter filter in my kitchen. I need to filter out some sediment since I'm on a well. My question is can I do one for the hotwater side also or are they not built for hot water use?
I will eventually do a whole house but for now I just want to take care of this.
    Thanks for any info.

I think they are rated up to something like 120* but I would think it would be a bad idea because of the bacteria risk. I would not do it.

No, you only want to filter the feed side(cold). Filtration is good for sediment, carbon is good for taste or odor.
