EZGO governor/restrictor

Anyone know how to pull of the restrictor/governor on a 2002 EZGO gas cart? (if there is actually one on them).
I'm asking for a friend...as you can tell I do not know shit about them.

It's located on a cable that goes to the rear end. You have to keep it from backing off. If you have someone drive and stand in the back and look at the rear end you'll see what I am saying.
