Action Media, creators of the nation's largest lifestyle custom car show, Hot Import Nights, will host the nation's largest modified luxury auto show -- XM Satellite Radio's VIP Auto Fashion, www.vipautofashion.com. The VIP show, presented by Valvoline SynPower, brings one-of-a-kind Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, BMWs, Cadillacs and more to the Anaheim Convention Center on Dec. 3 from 1-9 p.m.
Action Media sold out the entire venue to vehicle owners and exhibitors due to unprecedented demand for a show that will treat attendees to a venue filled with the ultimate dream-cars, concept vehicles, celebrity rides and industry exhibits. In addition to the world's most elite vehicles, the event will incorporate a sports bar featuring poker tables, multiple plasma screens broadcasting college football and motorsports events as well as recognizable sport spokesmodels and celebrity poker players.
Nearly 400 world class luxury and European show cars will compete for prestigious awards in nearly 40 all-new judging categories ranging from Super-Car, Exotic and Luxury to Celebrity Car and even Best Superbike. Well known auto-industry icons will judge the best-of-show cars live during the show. Show admission is $25 and the cost to enter the competition is $50.
In addition to the competition, some of the world's top super-cars will be on display. Attendees will see the million-dollar, 6.0 liter V12 Ferrari ENZO derived by Formula 1, as well as the Saleen S7, a true American super-car capable of over 200 miles per hour and speeds of zero-to-60 in under three seconds. Porsche fans will have the chance to admire the $440,000, 605 horsepower V10 Porsche Carrera GT, also capable of speeds over 200 mph.
Fans of rare exotics will get the chance to see various Spyker vehicles normally only displayed at select prestigious events around the world, such as the concourses at Pebble Beach, Villa d'Este in Italy and the Paleis Het Loo in Holland. Asanti will feature its Diamond Series, the most expensive set of custom three-piece forged wheels ever created with over 12,000 diamonds and 800 sapphires totaling 1,100 carats of precious stones per set. The jewels were painstakingly set by world renowned jeweler ICELINK; the set of four are priced at $1 million. Each buyer receives a free Bentley GT with purchase.
Attendees also get the chance to see the super-car of the future, the Moller International Sky Car hailed as the first and only feasible, personal vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle the world has ever seen. The M400 Skycar can cruise comfortably at 275 mph (maximum speed of 375 mph) and achieve up to 20 miles per gallon on ethanol fuel, with a range of 750 miles.
Exclusive appearances at the VIP Auto Fashion Show include the West Coast show debut of the 2007 Escalade and the Rinspeed Indy, based on the Porsche 997 Carrera S, in its only U.S. public appearance. The 2007 Escalade will be accompanied by the highly tuned convertible Cadillac XLR-V and the CTS-V race car that competed in this year's SCCA SPEED World Challenge and earned both the Drivers' Championship and Manufacturers' Championships in SPEED GT.
Other featured vehicles include the one-of-a-kind 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, the 1955 Mercedes 300SL Gull Wing and the 1988 Porsche 959S with a top speed of over 220 mph, all from Costa Mesa's Stuttgart Performance. FX Performance and the Ferrari Driving Club will feature a 550 Barchetta and a Ferrari F40. Also, Redline Motorgroup will showcase its Superamerica and newly released F430 Spyder. SP Engineering will display more than a dozen modified Lamborghinis, and Lamborghini Orange County will include their custom Momo Lamborghini. Many of these vehicles will be included in the VIP exotic marketplace where show-goers interested in purchasing can preview up close.
"This VIP show is an exciting opportunity for Action Media to headline some of the world's most impressive elite cars," said Michael Munar, Vice President of Marketing, Action Media. "The 'VIP' segment of the automotive lifestyle has grown immensely over the past few years and the number of people not only owning upscale vehicles, but also modifying them, has exploded making the modified luxury vehicle a mainstay in today's car culture."
Unlike any other car show, VIP is throwing the biggest sports party in town in the XM Satellite Radio Lounge and sports bar set up in the center of the show floor. The lounge will feature a full bar, multiple plasma screens airing the USC vs. UCLA game and top motorsports footage. The lounge also will host the Lingerie Bowl Girls and poker tables where attendees can challenge the Bombshell models to a hand. The Bombshell models, famous actresses and models like Amy Weber, The Costello Twins, Jessica Custodio, Kimberly Cozzens, Lisa Fleming and Tara Rice, are professionals in the poker game arena.
