ive got a question on flywheels, im working on my 75 f250, its got a 390, but came with a 360, not thinking i asked for a clutch for a 390 at the parts house, got the old one out and realized they arent the same, 10 inch and 11 inch or whatever they are. anyway, i want the bigger one but the flywheel doesnt have the right holes for the pressure plate. can i have a machine shop drill and tap new ones or should i just find a different one?

There should be no problem doing that, or get a 390 flywheel...they're zero balance. Early 429/460 flywheel is the same thing.

well i stopped by NAPA today and they can sell me a reman flywheel for $50, so i think i will just go that route.

Heck, you can't argue with that!
I'm prtty sure that the 360 is zero bal. as well, as are all FE's.

and thats regular price. if i charge it to the company account i get a good discount. of course there is a core charge, as it is a reman but i dont think they will notice the difference in bolt holes.
