Ok here's the deal. I went out on sunday and I ran my boat with a non split bowl and no droop. I noticed that my pump was cavatating a little on the holeshot and at WOT! What would cause this? I was running a droop and a split bowl. It felt a little faster as well. Any ideas???

One reason is that the C bowl flows better than a G bowl.
Second reason is that it does not have a 7* wedge and a droop 7.5*.
Third is that it is probably not dragging in the water.
Fourth is that chances are it is not over trimmed.

I had no trim in the pump at all! I havent had the 7* of wedge in the pump since labor day weekend! My droop dont have that much wedge in it......

I'm just wondering why you switched to a non-split bowl????

Bowl bushings spun out. I had to use something for last sunday.

By taking the droop off, you changed the attitude of the boat. This lets the pump opening see less water. Also, the droop was pushing the back of the boat down some. May be cavitating because of this. More speed? Could be that the slight cavitation let the engine move to a range of more HP. Just ideas!
