Who has done it? I am about to give it a shot and was just looking for any advice you guys might have. I have the manual and it doesn't look to complicated, just out with the old and in with the new. Do you have to reshim anything? Any tips to make it easier? Thanks in advance.

I have never done it, and you said you have the manual. I just like to pass on this site I recently found. Here is the link. The first link is to the main site, and the second link is to the overview page, the third link is directly to the bravo 1 section. I haven't read everything, and I don't have a bravo 1, but I am guessing it is in this site somewhere.

It is not as easy as it seems. There are a lot of things that must be done correctly for it to work properly. Also depending on the year, the cone clutch and shift fork assy have changed and are not interchangeable.

From the looks of it in the service manual it isn't to detailed. I mean there are a lot of parts no clearances to check and no gears to set lash. Am I wrong? From what I understand the clutch and fork have to be replaced together on certain models. I haven't checked the numbers on the drive but it is a 00 or 01 model, I am not sure if it falls in this category. I have rebuilt a motor and a few truck transmisions. Would you say it is harder than that. I would like to give it a shot but at the same time I don't want to do more harm than good. Thanks for the imput.
