I found a 19' low profile speed boat set up for an outboard but it has left hand drive. I'm concerned that the transom my have been frankenstined. does anyone know if left hand drive was typical for south wind with out a jet?

Seams like it would be up to the purchaser at the time the boat was made but your right, most outboards are right hand drive. Whats the transom look like? How thick is it? Pull the drain plug out, that should help you see how thick it is.
