    floor rot !

I have a bow mounted gas tank that I just removed to get access to a loose D ring and test the gauge in the tank.
Now that it is out I have noticed floor boards are wet and rotted in this area. should the entire floor get ripped out and what is
sugested these days when repairing or replaceing floors , materials etc.
I was thinking of coating the inside of boat with something like epoxy rather than carpeting it again?
It is a 16 1/2 ft 1979 GMC CobraJet w/berkely and it had original interior except for carpet, that was replaced and pressure glued, tough to remove

So I am new to all this and any insight would be greatly appreciated, I am still trying to locate and documentation on this boat as well !
    Thanks for your time
    Dave

Noticed some floor rotting on my boat too. What's everyone doing about this issue nowadays?
These are the best at home teeth whitening kits I could find.
