What info are you looking for?
I have tuned dual Webers and Dellorto's on VW's my whole life. I doubt that will help you, but I will do what I can.

Well I am not sure...I think I will be runing the 48 IDA units. The carbs can be had from Weber Carbs Direct but it would be helpful if someone has had experence in tuning or setting up these carbs. I believe that there is someone at Wilks Marine that does this....anyone know ?

It's not hard to set them up, you need good linkage and a good motor. We can help you if you bring it here to Parker

Thanks for your reply. I live in Tennessee and it would be hard to do but.......what about long distance.....I have an old intake by MCKAY it came out of Smokeys Garaga Sale a few years ago. I need a source for the carbs, fule lines , etc. The engine is a 69 427 / 425 and can be set up any way at this stage. Send me a email and I will contact you.....Wayne

I agree, the linkage is everything. Most of the carb problems I have fixed were caused because the linkage was out of sync. Real crispy throttle response due to the Individual Runner manifold, like fuel injection. But because of that they need to be dead on.
I don't know what they sound like on a boat or car, but they sound bitchen in a VW when they are set up right.
Buy the carbs new if you can, and spend the money on the linkage, if you don't, I think you will chase problems forever.

Yep, Linkage is very important. Cheap linkages tend to open each carb at a little different time causing it to run and sound like crap. As for buying the carbs you are going to spend a pretty penny. The run about $530/ea. http://aircooled.net/new-bin/viewpro...03200683921330 This place has a jet exchange program so you don't spend a fortune on jets. You will probably need larger venturies as the stock carbs come with a 37mm. I would guess you would need a 42mm or larger.
Here is a place that has V8 kits but not for BBC. Maybe they can do something since you have a manifold already. http://webercarbsdirect.com/
This place has parts and stuff. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/
Finally here is a place that looks like they carry V* stuff. http://www.redlineweber.com/
Propperly set up they have great throttle response and look killer. I have run them on VW for years.

We ran 48's in a midget on alky and 12%. Loved to be on the pole in the dash and take those injected boys down to about 700 RPM and letum have it at the flag....Steve
