I put newer exhaust manifolds on my boat and now I'm having problems with the hoses. The old manifolds had 3 inlets from the thermostat housing and the new ones have 2.
in the top of the housing there is a thermastat. can I get rid of it and use a plate to block off the top 2 outlets? Or do I need to keep it and use the top 2 and two from the bottom? Is there 2 thermastats in this thing?
    Thanks for the advice, Bill
I have pics but cant resize, so if someone can post them that would be cool

Might be easier for someone to help if they knew what you were working on. Ford, Chevy, Olds? Jet, I/O, V-drive?
