Well since nobody has anything to offer I will give you my .02.
A buddy of mine has a Daytona 25. He originally had a 32 prop but it didn't have any mid-range. He then went to a 26 bent to 26.5, this gave him the mid-range but slowed his top end (114 to about 105 mph). One day we were out on the strip and a guy with an SR24 came up on us from behind and of course we had to stay with him. He had a running start but we stayed with him . That day my buddy (poke) purchased a 28. This gave him the mid-range and some more top end.
IMO I would try the 28 if your not looking for the most top end speed. If it is top end your looking for, go big 30 or 32.
    I hope this helps.

I am running a Ultra 247 HP500EFI Whipped. I run a 30 Bravo 1 but will need to get 28 to get the "new" RPM range correct. 5850 is now your target instead of 5300. With your gears a 26 might be needed.... I have one if you think it would be right.

With 1:36 gears and that motor, you won't be able to pull a 30, I would try to start around 24-26.
With 1.5's that boat should run abaout a 28.

. my local dealer suggest a 30 pitch? any help wood sure be appreciatedIn April 2001, Family & Performance Boating Magazine did a test on DCB Mach 26 with a base HP500/EFI. Stock the boat ran a 28" prop and 1.5 gears and did 81.7 Mph. Then they did the Whipple install, and went with a 34" and 1.36 gears, but found that the prop was too stout...they then had some cup taken out, and turned it into a 33". The boat ran 105.6 in flat water with HP500/EFI with Whipple with the 33" and 1.36 gear.

i got a chance to go out today for a test run in the boat, with a 30 pitch prop we got up to 96mph at 5ooo rpm's and 3 lbs of boost, butt we had to back out of it because the external steering stabilizers we put on were making the boat squeirly, the boat was real unstable. the dealer says it could be the thingamageber under the steering wheel, i guess eliminator switched to a round cable setup instead of the old slider?????????back to the grindstone
