Thread: Max temp for intake?

    Whats the maximum teperature that an aluminum intake can stand? Basically, can it take 400 degrees in an over to burn off buildup?

    Try some airplane paint remover (it is safe for aluminum) or oven cleaner.

    I did the oven cleaner, but the small detailed parts are hard to get at.

    400 should be no problem. I have powdercoated several aluminum intakes, which require heating to 400 degrees for 20 min. to cure the powder coat.

    ditto, 400ยบ no problem for alum.
