Hey there!! Who launches there and how long of a wait? And where to stay?
We usually go to Laughlin and launch out of Katherine's but we don't want to have to wait 2 hours plus to launch and retrieve any more.. any suggestions? I know going during the week is the best but we can't usually do that..
    Thanks,
    Mrs.HLB

Went last Saturday, got there about 8:30 am, wait was about.....0 minutes.
Stayed at the Ramada in Laughlin, don't recommend that, stereo amps were
stolen in their "secured" parking lot

I read about that, sorry you had to go thru that. It sucks! We usually stay at the Ramada also.. How long of a drive was it? And how do you get there by land? I know where it is at on the water... We are just tired of the wait at Katherine's.

Never a wait at CC, and if the winds blowing, its a treat not to have to ride that rough stuff in the open waters to the south.
It takes about the same amount of time from casino to having boat in water, but don't have to deal with a crowded boat ramp at KL.

That is what I was thinking.. maybe a hour drive but don't have to wait to launch... Do you know if there is hotels in that area?

CA 95 North, becomes Nevada 95 to Searchlight (don't blink), right turn in Searchlight to CWC. Easy.

Is the road to CC paved all the way to the launch ramp? I don't remember the name, but I have launched from a place at Mohave, but had to go thru a dirt road before getting to the paved launch ramp. It sucked on the way out cause of all the dirt that go on my skis on that time. Skis are easier to clean than my boat now, so I don't want to go thru that.

    Sorry Mrs HLB...
Cottonwood Cove no longer exists. Just last week, the Military siezed the land for special opps training. No one can launch there anymore.
But you can still launch at Katherine's!!!

Juan (?) You might be thinking of the crap dirt washboard road from AZ Telephone Cove to Princess Cove/Launch. Approx 6 miles north of Katherines Landing. Wouldn't take a Humvee over that POS road let alone my boat!
