New to the board and wondered what causes reversion (this is when water is sucked back through the exhaust, right?). Too much overlap, too much exhaust duration? Thinking about changing cams when I replace the manifold and carb and I need some advice. Thanks-

Are you getting water in your oil? Or any other signs of trouble?

There are a lot of other things that can cause water to seep into the engine. A crcked manifold, blown gasket, etc. The timing advanced too far can also cause water to flow back in through the exhaust manifold.

I don't have any trouble yet, but I had read that with thru hub exhaust the wrong cam can suck in water. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks-
