My opinion on this incident for what it is worth, has been similar to the above account. The media are again turning out to be nothing but a tool for the enemy propaganda machine. What better way to fuel more unrest but to claim a massacre and get the media spreading the story.
Strange how our guys have been hung out to dry with very poor supporting evidence. The media jumps at the negatives but show restraint because they just aren't sure of any facts. The thing that pisses me off is the lack of support and an "innocent until proven guilty" backup by our government and military leaders. If the massacre happened and can be proven beyond doubt, then they should be held accountable. But if this is what it appears to be, a horrible sham to discredit and harm our troops, then all involved American media should be tried for treason, if that's posssible.
I'm sticking with our Marines until someone can come up with something credible.
If this turns out to be the sham it appears, McGirk should get a free week at the next bootcamp.
