Anybody know a website that sells steel braded lines and hoses for a REASONABLE price?
I dont like those do it yourself kits from the local parts dealer. These look cheap and never actually go on properly.
    thanks........

1000mhz, I live in SanDiego and Industrial Liquidators has the best prices I have found so far. You might give them a call and see if they have a location in the L.A. area. Their # is 858-278-3455, they are off Convoy, kinda close to the stadium.

I got all my stuff from Summit Racing (http://www.summitracing.com)- Aeroquip, Earls, Summit brand, fittings galore- it's all good (and pretty reasonable).

The only problem I have with buying stuff like this online is 1- I order it...2- It comes to my house...3- Its exactly what I ordered and...5- Its all wrong http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif . I kind of like building the hoses on the counter becuase I have MAJOR problems ordering that stuff. 1/2" MPT to #8 male 90 degree swivle...No..make that a 45 degree w/...No..better go back to the...No..make it #6 w/ 3/8 MPT.... SEE, I told you http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

fryzll, Your an Industrial Liquidators slut too! I used to live in Manhattan Beach and went to the one in Hawthorne every week just to root around. Man I have gotten some great stuff there. My entier boat was built with 12 point s.s. bolts from that place. An if I didn't find what I needed for s.s. hose and fittings Earls Supply is in the same store. I'm getting goose bumbs just thinking about it. Wanna hear something sick? My buddies dad wrenched on race cars all his life with most of it on Indy stuff. A few years ago he ws cleaning out his garage and asked me if I wanted any of it. I took it all and got three huge boxes of stuff. Most was AN hoses and fittings! I even found injector pumps and dry sump pumps stamped Penskie in with it. It's been a freaking gold mine and saved me thousands of $$.

That reminds me Dave, are you planning on getting another boat?? What would you think about driving a Circle Boat. I've got a line on a Barron Sprint that might do nicely in the SSRS series. We could put it together and run it ThanksGiving at BlueWater. My Biesemeyer is at about the limit of its potential for an old K-Boat. Barron Sprints tend to be faster, there just a little tricky getting around a corner. Hey ... it's all a learning curve.( I hate that corporate phrase). If we could just finsh every heat we enter, the series money would cover our overhead. An I even got your favorite number !!!

I would love to do that. But right now I am pretty tapped out as far as funds go. I'm still sinking money in the schiada project and need to get it finished before starting another project. But if you do it and need any help or maybe a driver (ya right) let me know. I do have a lathe and mill so I could help you with any of the rigging if you need it.

Picture this..... you are on the water with 7 other Super Stock boats all driven by guys who are seasoned veterans between the ages of 25 and 40 who are both fearless and sometimes ruthless. You've finished 2 warm up laps and you're coming around the last turn headed for the starting line when the starter waves the green flag. All at once 8 high performance big blocks go from 4500 rpm to 7300 headed side by side at over 100 mph to one single orange bouy that you will all try and turn around together. And you will do this for 5 miles. Now doesn't that sound like something you'd want to get into ??? We only average about 1 (one) crash a race. I'm going to give this Barron Sprint a test ride next month and see if it will do.
