anyone got any hot tips for sealing intake gaskets on a blown alky motor? I been fighting these things for 9 months now. Tempted to silicone the whole gasket, but im not sure if methanol will eat up the silicone.

Cut a groove in the intake and put a 'viton O' ring in the hole. Bolt it back together. Run it.

"The Right Stuff" from Permatex, comes in a can.
"Mr Gasket" intake set, p/n 122 or 121 w/BBC Darts
Has to be grease free before assembly !
The Vitons are the trickest way if you got the means.

Alcohol does not bother Ultra Blue permatex silicone seal. I use either the Mr. Gasket intake gasket (no hole) or the Fel pro (with hole) depending on port match. I silicone the head side and the manifold side at the water ports and never have a problem. If that helps.
