that is the first time I've seen it after the day I sold it.
That's the boat I should have never sold and miss it every day.
I sold it less engine and it looks just like it did the day it left my house from what I can tell. Wing looks cool but worked better hanging on the wall in the garage.
It had a lenco safe drive back then so no whirlaway. I blew up with Lenco and at that point let the boat go.
It was a great boat back then.
So what's the story with it now?
I bought it from Del Torres (sp). Raced and played with it for 9 years. I sold it for 4,500 bucks, what's the price up to these days?
here is a pic I took the day I pulled the engine out. The guy that bought it picked it up the next day.

It's in the Boat Trader listed as an "84" for $5,500.
it only went up 1K, not bad. But in the last 6 years it got to be 10 years newer. It was a 74 when I owned it.
I WANT IT BACK!! I wonder it he'd trade it for a 20' schiada??

OK, before anyone drive 1,000 miles to look at it here's what I remember.
It had a fair amount of stress cracks around the transom. Nothing that big of a deal but they are there. The stringer on the right side was comming loose around the v drive. It also had the white milky look on the floor on the drivers side in front of the v drive (tell tale delam signs).
Focker always ran straight and true. With a 461" blown injected engine (on kill) my best was 8.22 @ 128mph. Not the lightest boat in the pack but you don't want to walk on the deck.
Dick Vale paint job was around 12 years old when I let it go. Was showing the wear but still looked pretty good.
I swear it looks like the guy did nothing to it AT ALL. It had a nice work apron that went all the way around the sides and back of the boat. Also had a dust cover and a cover that snapped over the cockpit. Should have 2 Russle side tanks.
