Had to change impellers this weekend on the water. I did not notice before, I have a small amount of water coming out of the seep hole in the bottom of the pump. Is this normal or do i need to change the shaft seal ??
Also, can you buy the impeller from Jabsco ? If so , what is the number ?
If not I will call Rex today and get another spare.
    Thanks

You can get the impeller from jabsco, number is stamped on the impeller. If you cross the number over to the brand they sell you can get it at west marine also. I forget which brand they sell but I found the crossover reference on their website.

I am looking at the impeller and I do not see any numbers , just Jabsco name.
It is for the1 inch Magna flow pump.
    blades 2 inch wide
    2 1/2 inch across
    5/5 keyed shaft..

I talked to Brian at Rex and he informed me that most likely the seals burned up when the impeller went out, So I will change the seals when I get a new impeller,
Thanks Brian @ Rex Marine for your help..

after changing the impeller should you lubvercate it with something so it does not burn up on a dry start before water gets to it??

I always use liquid dish soap or liquid hand soap . Never had a problem . Just don't dry start them .
It only take just a few seconds for it to pick up water .
