We have the 310 runners w/ 2.30 x 1.88 combo and are running NGK BP7ES and have had no problems.
I am curious if anyone out there is running BBC Merlin Heads and what plugs they are running in them. Have you had good luck with what you are running? What are you gapped at?

I just put melins on my new motor, I will check and see what my mechenic put in for plugs
I RUN MERLINS ON MY 477.I USE AUTOLITE 134R.THE MOTOR'S BLOWN THATS A COLDER HEAT RANGE PLUG.
We run NGK in all of our motors. They range in heat range from NGK B7ES to B9ES. The plug gap depends on what kind of ignition you are running. If you have an electronic ignition you are able to getaway with a wider gap for better spark exposure to the in coming fuel.
had a blown 471 merlin 345's ran autolite 135
Thanks guys.
The best plugs are the Champion RV15YC4's. Extended tip and are gapped at .045 inches.
You can't do any better.
Sincerely
