Pat. It is very unlikely that you will turn anything close to 6800rpm if your "B" impeler is only turning 5200rpm right now. To get your engine rpm up you need a lot more hp or a smaller impeler. Anything over 6000rpm wears an engine out fairly fast. You might want to look someplace else for more speed. How long since you have had a Pump overhaul? That gave my old Hondo jet about 6mph. al the boat was my tahiti. jim brock rebuilt the pump stage 2 rebuild and the engine turned 5200 rpm's and did appox 70-71 on gps. i am going to install it in my mariah and would like to see a little more rpm. the mariah has a dominator pump the i was told was fresh but you know how that goes kinda like being told it had no dry rot anywhere either until i got home and did some good looking and removed the seats :cry: .

"Mr SS", is it 232 @ .050"? Is it on 108 centers? 'cause that's what works.
I don't have the spec sheet handy, it's in a file downstairs. I guess I shoulda mentioned my 280* figure is a seat-seat callout on a Hyd cam. I think it is re-referenced at 232@.050" I'm running 110* center as DuaneHTP thought it better running the Nitrous. Mine is set up straight as it is CUT 4* advanced. Duane told me he had too many folks (diy'ers like me) who couldn't seem to get it right advancing it 4* so he has them ground advanced & says put it in straight up.
