Big boat.
Handles rough water well
Great build quality
Tons of room.
Heavy
A bit dated in the design area.
Hallett has been around forever and build a really nice boat. You could eat off their factory floor too, it is so clean.
What can people tell me about the Hallett 270
Ride quality?
Build quality?
How it handles chop.
Is the cuddy cabin roomy?
Any impressions you may have are appreciated.

Hallett 270= My dream boat
One of the classiest looking west coast custom boats on the water IMO.
They're getting a little dated looking but I still love the looks of them.
my buddy owns one and I've been out it many times. Great solid boat for havi's washing machine chop, normal sized mid cuddy, heavy boat, w/502 runs maybe 60-ish w/gas and few folks on board.
Cant you get it with twins too ?
I believe there was three available.
The 270, normal.
The 270T, which had twins (usually small blocks)
and
The 270S, which I believe is a stepped-bottom.
Hallett 270 (http://www.hallettboats.com/270-s.html) is available in either a single or twin configuration. Plus you can get it in either a step or non-stepped bottom I believe. Hallett makes great boats. Classic styling on the 270. They could do something different with their swimstep though, looks like too much of an afterthought IMHO.
Does anybody know how the boat will handle with 600hp pushing it. Is the bottom of the boat quarky or does it behave well. Are the tabs a must with the higher HP motors?
I have a 270 and love it. It isn't the fastest thing on the water but it rides great. I will admit that they are not the most Blingy(if thats a word) boat but I feel they won't go out of style like some others.

Does it have alot of room for storage in the boat? Do you have any complaints about the boat? What would you change if you could?
