Sounds like no one got hurt. One less boat on the Colorado River, and one open hotel room.

Saw the plume of dust from the center divider as the trailer went in. Just a bit outside of Barstow, East-bound on the I40.
Boat was about 100 yards away from the trailer, both in the center divider. And, as noted, despite a fairly heavy flow of traffic, the trailer didn't appear to have hit anyone or anything.
Very sad to see a boat, off the the trailer, lying in the center divider, drive ripped off somewhere along the way. Glad no one was hurt and sorry for the driver.
Glanced at the white truck as we went by and didn't see a hitch in the receiver???
Lousy way to start a holiday weekend.
