We talking Daytona?
We talking Daytona?
Gotta crawl before we walk. This is Kansas City, ARCA.
We are here with the Nascar Craftsman Trucks and IRL guys.
The IRL guys, 95% of them, really walk around with their nose in the air. I was a big time open wheel fan, but this really kinds of turns me off on the whole series (IRL). All the Nascar Truck and ARCA guys are really down to earth and cool. Glad I am associated with 1 of the 2 over the IRL.
I am now an instant redneck. I am totally hooked on this thing. I came into this not really know what to expect, but had a great time.
We finished 6th out of 40 cars to start.
Just before the 1/2 mark of the race, we lost 3rd gear in the tranny, and had to run 4th gear the rest of the race, about 70 laps total. Even coming in to the pits, stopped in 4th and took off in 4th with the whole crew pushing the car to get up to speed.
It is such a cool feeling to be sitting next to the team owner on the top of the pit box with the headsets on for the entire race AND have your company logo on the car going around the track with about 50,000 in the stands.
I'll get some pictures up in about an hour for anyone at home or in a hotel room like me on the big holiday weekend night. I have about 200 to download right now.
Thats great Michael. Congrats with the 6 th place finish...not bad at all for your team. Hal
6th...Nice run. Congrats and thanks for blowing it for me.....now I'm not going to watch the race Sunday...
j/k Congrats I know you guys have been working hard at this.
Chris
Congrats on the 6th. Hope the momentum keeps on going for you guys
Heard the NASCAR truck boys were the best. Alot less crap to deal with, media, p correctness and the such. Saw my first race at the Richmond track in 97. Unbelivable. I was hooked. Congrats on your finish.
