Ya gotta have a certain mindset to be a jetboater,, they handle a bit different, different application than prop.
Think we're among the rare few jetboaters that run to Catalina.
You ever get plugged up with seaweed when running in the ocean?

Get a 21' Schiada V-Drive River Cruiser. Best of all worlds.

Jets are a helluva lot of cheap fun. You don't have to worry as much about water depth, roostertails are cool, they are light and simple to work on, and chicks love jets. Yes they do use more fuel, and can be a bit of a handfull in the rough stuff. They are not as fast as a comparable prop boat. My stock Hardin 454 runs 60, but I like to cruise at 40. I run my 20.6 Carrera at Havi no problem(with some common sense), and its perfect up or down river. I can ski, wakeboard, tow a tube, and with little kids diving off the swimstep I have a lot less worries.
