How much does a model 72C velvet-drive weigh?
I'm trying to determine shipping from a seller and he doesn't seem to know.

According to their site, the direct drive is 109lbs and the reduction is 153lbs?? I have a direct drive and it feels like a 100lbs or so!..

    Ouch!
Ok, I was thinking more along the lines of 60lbs. :frown:
This particular unit is a 1:1 ratio deal, so it has less weight. I currently have a 71C behind a 440 Chrysler and would like to keep the retro set-up. It's more of a family ski boat that will be used for an occasional w.o.t. blast when I'm by myself. From what I've seen of the info in some velvet-drive literature the 71C is limited to 5% usage at w.o.t..
It'll cost me About $200 to get a rebuildable core on my porch, sound good?
    Thanks for the reply

I know what sounds good is that you are using a 440.

    OK. Thanks guys!
It looks like I was outbid anyways. I'm thinking I'll keep looking for something more local and see how long the 71C lasts in the meantime.
