Well guys, the test is in from the latest Powerboat magazine and unfortunately for you Koolaid drinking DCB lovers out there I've got some bad news. Your all mighty DCB got straight up smoked by the Spectre with identical power. Here's the facts boyz:
DCB 32
8500 pounds
Ilmor MV-10 625
Hering six-blade 15" x 33" props
Zero to 20 seconds = 67 mph
40 to 70 mph = 10.5 seconds
Top speed at rpm 121.6 mph at 5700 rpm
Time to plane 8.2 seconds
Spectre 32
8000 pounds
Ilmor MV-10 625
Hering five-blade 15 1/2" x 33"
Zero to 20 seconds = 86 mph
40 to 70 mph = 7.7 seconds
Top speed at rpm 130 mph at 5700 rpm
Time to plane 5.1 seconds
You guys got your comparison, so I'm sorry to break the news.

I would love to own either one. What was the prices of the two?
But does the Spectre have a 12V socket?
You can hump in the DCB!!!!
You can hump in the DCB!!!!
I've humped in Spectre, and it was only 30'....shhhh don't tell Jordy!
Say it ain't so!!! How about a dollar to Kool-aid comparison????
I sure didn't see many DCB's in Newport or at Catalina last week either.
Hmmm... Perhaps Scott Conrad can add a training wheel and some kind of flashy new hairdo.
Perhaps, seeing how Blacksock1 has been taken, he can run blue socks instead, like OCEAN water!!!
Charley, cleanup AISLE 1 and STEP ON IT!!!
Love you long time Mr. Big.
But does the Spectre have a 12V socket?
My 30' does but it's not billet and has no logos on it.
ill take the cheaper one probably the spectre

Bang for the buck, it seems as though you can't go wrong, unless you're set on having a lake boat. Hell, I bet if Dave put his hair in a bun and stopped picking $$$ from his g-string they'd probably pick up a couple seconds on that time to plane.
Now if Spectre would just put the steering wheel on the other side !!
