Where would i find any information on a Volvo Penta 270 outdrive? Any information, pictures, anything. Any Info Is very helpful.

I have 3 of them. One of which is on the boat in my sig.
They don't like to be "shocked" and they don't like to turn a bazillion RPM. Or so the previous owner warned me.

Well Im working with a 302 5.0 i just built up and put in a 74 SUNBIRD Samurai. It has a Volvo Penta 270 outdrive. But the footing is not sucking up any water to the motor. But when i hook the hose up to the motor it spits the water right out the exhaust, meaning the water is running through. As I am not sure what could be the cause? Maybe a water seal in the outdrive? Im not sure. - Jeff

Sounds like the gaskets between the lower unit and upper or the gasket on the outlet between the drive and the gimbil could also be the impeller in your seawater pump you should have a seperate pump for seawater Should be mounted on the front of the crankshaft

I have my answer. I think it is the water pump impeller
