Anyone have any pictures because we think we the bitz/deaver we bought on e-bay about a month ago is one of the originals. It came with 2 hemi eng. v-drives, hemi eng. steering, and a fully enclosed oil cooled needle beaing prop shaft to strut housing prop shaft enclosure. Iron cross inlaid in the floor of boat. Boat has been painted red but their is evidence of yellow underneath.

Will have some pictures soon. We just confirmed it is an original Der Fuer boat. Just got off the phone with Bitz. He worked on the boat with Deaver and Bill Harrison and remembers it well. Can't believe we got it for a "buy it now" price of $7000.00. The spare parts that came with it are worth 20. There is an unused titanium strut that the owner claims cost him 4500. Hopefully we will be able to put it back to it's original condition. This boat's new home will be CFW.

Here's a few shots of the "Hemi Engineering Special" also know as "Der Furor". I sure remember in the mid-seventy's the hull being a Howard(Proud Mary was a Howard as well, out of Hemi Engineering) and from these shots it sure looks like one. Maybe yours is a later edition???

Second shot from the bottom looks like it could be a Deaver?? Note paint and taller sponsons like the Deavers had

With the driveshaft out there is plenty more room to "hang out" with Mrs Vaughn.
