How thick is that transom?
about 1/2"
You must be a glutton for punishment, or a masochist! :hammerhea
Both I think :220v: ....rotflmao
about 1/2"
I picked up a rochell the other day minus pump and motor and noticed the transom was 3/4 of just glass and another 3/4 of wood on the back of it. Compared to my apollo which is maybe an 1/8 inch of glass with 1/2 of plywood. I am guessing just the rochell hull weighs 1200 pounds or maybe a bit more but you won't find a spider "anywhere" on that hull.
Here is a shot of the pump-setback I did on my Omega which is what your Rochelle was splashed off of. It had 3/4" marine ply sandwiched between two pretty thick layers of glass. It too was heavy!

How well did that pump work with that droop?
It worked really well, but a snoot from HTP worked quite a lot better.
Made a really different boat out of it. With the snoot was able to get it to
72.6 GPS with a fairly mild BBF.
here is a link to some pics of it.
