I am pretty sure the bubble deck didn't come into production until 1974 - I have a 69 and it is not a bubble deck. I think you should double check the year. The hull, (in good condition) will handle all the HP you can throw at it.
Its kinda funny because Flats are pretty rare around here.
The one I found, is a 1971 Sanger Bubble Deck. I have known of this boat for many years. I talked to the owner many times. He always says "IM GOING TO FIX IT UP SOMEDAY!!!!!!!!!" And of course next year when I drive by there sets the old Flatty!!! eek!
So I was out that way the other day and there it sets. So I stopped and left three notes around his house asking if the boat was for sale.
I can't believe it but he called tonight and said yup I will sell it. eek! So on Saturday im going to take a really good look at it.
It use to have a small block in it.
The other one I found is a 1970 Bubble deck. That one has a 454 LS7 The guy says its real nice. He is sending me pictures. He wants around $ 6000 for that one.
So any input as far as how good these boats are? Would a Sanger handle a blown BBC ok? Im thinking if I can buy the 71 cheap Id build a blown 427 tall block. wink

They must have started in 73 cause a friend has a 72 and it's not a bubble deck!!!........
The SANGER bubble deck came out in 1972.
My brother (superlite72) has one that we are repainting.
Yes they will handle a Blown big block chev.
Remember a boat called Jokers Wild?
Dans66,
When you go to look at the boat get the serial number if you can. If should be on the inside left side of the transom. Above the left(drivers side ) stringer.
Post or e-mail the number to me and I may be able to tell you more. Our Dad use to sell Sangers here in the Northwest.
