How much anchor line is on your boat?
Do you use chain on your box anchor?
How do you anchor up at the sand bar or av spot?

I've got a 12', 50', and 100' line, and I use whatever is appropriate for the depth of water.

    I have two anchors
Dana Jaws with 100' of line
Box Anchor with 50' of line
no chain on either one of them, I have not needed the chain at all, not even in Parker where there is a current.

Standard safe anchor scope is 7-10 times the depth of the water.
But that's more for long term (overnight) anchoring. You can get by with about 2 -3 times the depth for short term, like at the Sandbar.

I have 5' of chain and 30' of line on a small box anchor for a 19' boat. I boat in Parker mostly these days and leave it in the water for the duration of the trip.
I have 4 hooks down the line so that I can hook up to a smaller length if needed.

For places like the sandbar it depend upon the type of boat and how deep of water you put it in. I use 2 dog leash screws. One front and one rear. Front about 8-10 feet and rear 10-15 feet. I have a 21' jet that I can put in very low water. My buddies with larger Cats just bring a slide spike for the front end and tie it down tight.
For over night at Moabi I use my box anchor no chain on 30-40 foot line with a slide spike at around 50 ft. I have never had a problem with the set up.
I am looking at this product while at Moabi because of the changing water levels during the day. www.adjust-a-anchor.com

75' of line for on my box anchor, and maybe this year I will put a floating device on the end of the line.

~100 foot of line on both Box Anchors with loops at 50, 75, 100 feet for the clasp that hooks to the bow eye. Unlike Mike I actually have a floating ball for the anchor line!
